Negotiating is a valuable aspect of any career, especially when trying for increased raises or finding solutions to benefit the greatest number of people.

When making compromises, it’s vital to remain confident because it will ensure that whoever is
listening to you expects the best results. Negotiating requires empathy to develop healthy relationships and
consider the needs of others when pursuing a mutual deal. Negotiating doesn’t necessarily have to be professional; potentially used toward children or your parents. I’m sure we all have negotiated with our
parents, so we didn’t get our phone taken!

The first step for securing the best compromise is conducting research. You should gather data regarding an active topic; rather than relying exclusively on your own; to prevent any bias. Make the first move; brainstorm multiple solutions that would benefit
everyone!
