Commuting Without A Car
Public Transit:
Some campuses offer their bus routes, but if you’re not fortunate enough for that choice, you can always take your city’s public transportation. This is usually more convenient than driving because year-long bus/train tickets are cheaper than parking and gas.
Micro-mobility:
The distance from your home and campus might be too far for walking, but using a bike or electric scooter would be more comfortable. Familiarize yourself with any regulations and requirements in your town for riding.
Zipcars:
If you still prefer driving a car, you can rent one! Many campuses are partnered with Zipcars, which can easily be found nearby dorms. You can have a membership that gives you access to any Zipcars nearby.
