Some Notes You Can Use To Kickstart Your Professional Instagram Page
Week 1: Startup
Day 1: Planning
- Establish the type of a page you want
- Create a plan ( how much you’re going to post, how frequently, etc.)
Day 2: Creating An Account
- Have a proper account ( creator, business, etc. )
- Create a strong profile photo, username, and nameplate. All should relate and give off the same goal
- Don’t make the bio about you, instead make it on WHY someone should follow your page, engage with the selected audience and tell them what you’re willing to offer them
Day 3: Content Research
- Stay open-minded to new sub-topics while still focusing on the main primary one, doing this will allow viewers to follow as they’ll get the same kind of content that they liked over and over again but differently, making page binge – worthy
- Search for questions or phases or topics around your topic that keep coming up, do this on other similar platforms like Pinterest, Youtube, Instagram, Openai, competitor pages, and etc.
- Do not copy
- Plan/brainstorm all new content ideas gained onto a spreadsheet, planner, doc, and etc.
- Stay organized
Day 4: Set Up A Content Calendar
- Find and use a planner.
- Find out how often you plan on posting, and the type of content you’re posting, and begin working on the first 9, which all circulate around the same topic
- Start with 9 posts and have them uploaded frequently so your page doesn’t look empty
- A reel per day is average for a content creator, but find what post schedule works right for you and follow it
- Reels are probably the better way to go since they follow the latest algorithm
Day 5: Create First 9
- Use graphics
- Follow the latest algorithm by looking at pages that post content similar to yours, and see what format they follow, or sounds they use, without fully copying them
- Idea – Maybe let people know you’re starting a new page instead of just jumping into a regular post
- Idea – Maybe with the second post explain a goal, and tell people what they will gain from viewing your account.
Day 6: Batch Film?
- Create stuff beforehand, so that there’s time to edit, and post whenever you want
- Don’t be afraid to experiment and try new shooting, or editing styles, and etc.
Day 7:
- Edit, final touches, add text, make sure Instagram settings are correct, have captions and hashtags ready to be posted
- Use hashtags so the platform knows how to categorize your content
Week 2: Trigger The Algorithm
Day 8 – 14: Create A Daily Routine
- Continue to properly post on the schedule you had set up
- Descriptive hashtags to describe content
- Don’t overcomplicate hashtags
- Engage with other people using the same topic, and their followers
- The more you post = The more you grow
- Do this while creating content options for the next week
- Follow the same schedule/routine from the last week
Week 3: Find And Implement New Strategies
Day 15 – 21: Follow The Routine
- Regular posts
- Engage with other creators
- Add daily stories to the routine
- Begin collaborating
Week 4: Be patient
Day 22 – 28: Use All These Skills
- Stick to all these strategies
- Consistently post
- Study and learn from analytics
- Don’t join engagement groups
- Study what works around your topic
