Communicating with Professors

Relationships with professors are necessary because you never know if you may need a reference in the future. Professors love for students to stay a little after class or come by during office hours. Even without a specific need, communicating feels more involved on campus. They can help give you information about your career and lead you to the correct path; they could even provide you with contact details that could offer you an internship in the field.

Introduce yourself; go over some notes, it will make a conversation with them much easier. Even if it’s a large lecture, if you’re fooling around they will notice and you won’t earn their respect. Accept criticism; if you take everything that they suggest critically, it will be difficult for them to help you.
