Exercising Tips
I’ve just started exercising recently, and these are tips that I recommend everyone should do!
Stretching; this is so important for your workouts before and after — a bad posture will not give you the muscle or fat loss at the pace that you desire. Warming up beforehand, will loosen your muscles, give you more flexibility to maintain a good form, and keep you consistent with progressive overload (intensifying your workouts over time). You stretch afterward to decrease the after-workout fatigue; your body feels very tight and restricts your movement, so your recovery process goes smoother.
Rest; your body can’t handle working out the same muscles every day, not letting your body improve will stunt your progress because you’re overworking yourself. Sensitive muscle groups like glutes or legs should be worked out for 2 days a week max with 2+ days of rest. Rest doesn’t have to mean you lay in bed all day, you can still work out another section, like one day you do legs, and then tomorrow you can do upper body. The upper body typically doesn’t need as much rest time, some do it every day, but you should still keep a day or 2 for the week where you don’t work at all.
Diet; usually this could be the hardest part for many. It depends on whether you want to build muscle or lose fat, so you could either bulk or complete a calorie deficit. Bulking usually means you take more calories than you need something like a protein shake filled with a lot of calories with quicker gains. Calorie deficits are when you consume fewer calories than you burn. Both methods can become dangerous if you’re not careful, you could quickly be overweight or underweight. Some athletic people prefer to avoid doing either, which is fine, but keep in mind your progress will take more time to develop.
Consistency; when working out muscle groups continue using the same few workouts — changing it up and adding exercises from media could stop improvement. You need to work out at least 2+ times a week to upkeep your progress, it takes a long time to see results, but it takes a couple of weeks to lose your body.
i need this for later!!!
