Blue-Collar Jobs
Blue-collar jobs always have a strong stigma with it but there are a lot of advantages to it.
- They have more flexibility to leave work, like let’s say if their family is needed after a job they can leave easily.
- They tend to feel more appreciated when they pass by a building and are involved in the building process, seeing a physical representation of your efforts is more rewarding.
- Many people struggle to be consistent with the gym because they’re, so exhausted after work, but you’re working out while working in blue-collar jobs. Now you would just need to focus on the nutrition aspect of the gym and save so much money on gym subscriptions.
- These career choices keep you very financially stable and you can easily earn 6 figures.
- There are no assignments that require you to try to fit in objectives to meet deadlines
- Instead of being in student debt from universities, they would go to job training that is much more affordable and sometimes it’s paid for by the government
There are still some disadvantages of blue-collar jobs like:
- The work tends to get repetitive because you can’t enforce administrative rules
- This is still physical labor that could quickly become exhausting and it may be difficult for you to stay fit consistently
- You could be in hazardous conditions that can hurt your health long-term
- Some people find it hard to tell people about their careers due to stigmas
Don’t let the popular stigmas of blue-collar jobs deter you from this career. Corporate jobs aren’t for everyone and maybe you don’t want to sit around in an office and prefer doing something.
