Back to School MUSTS
Bookbags
Bookbags are starting to be seen as boring and may make you feel like it’s ruining your style, but they’re more reliable than purses or tote bags. After a while, the weight is all on one shoulder, and you’ll often be in pain, so it’s better to stick with backpacks.
Pencil Case
You don’t want to be that student who asks everyone for a pencil because you lose it often; staying organized will make it last longer.
Deodorant/Extra Clothes
Always keep extra deodorant in your locker, especially since most classes don’t have air conditioning, you need an alternatuve in case you start smelling.
Notebooks
If your teacher doesn’t require binders, don’t bring it. Binders are much more difficult, compared to notebooks. If you walk to school I promise you don’t want to carry that every day for 9 months, it gets painful after awhile. It’s rumored that notebooks don’t keep you on task; as long as you have it daily, you’ll remain organized.
Gum
If you don’t eat at lunch or have a late lunch, you should bring gum. Personally, my stomach always grumbles, and I get embarrassed, but chewing gum helps as it tricks your brain into thinking you’re eating and stops the growling.
