SUMMARY:Yai Central Park Challange
DESCRIPTION:YAI’s Central Park Challenge is New York’s biggest annual celebration of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This year\, it is taking place on May 31st\, from 8am to 12pm.   \n\n\n\nCentral Park Challenge (CPC) began in 1986 as a fun run held in Westchester to encourage fitness and healthy living among people with I/DD. Growing organically since then\, today it features a 3K walk\, carnival area filled with games and live entertainment\, and junior races for children ages 2 to 12. The family-friendly event welcomes thousands of supporters each year to join YAI in seeing beyond disability. Most importantly\, it is a key fundraiser for YAI\, with all funds donated going directly to support the I/DD community with initiatives such as housing\, education\, and employment.

SUMMARY:2025 MATE ROV Competition

Students develop a wide variety of technical and workplace skills\, including creativity\, adaptability\, and communication\, as they work together to design\, build\, and operate their ROVs. \n\n\n\nSo should your school join the MATE ROV Competition? Let’s discuss the potential challenges to a rewarding ROV design and competition experience\, and summarize how successful ROV projects have met those challenges\, and share relevant strategies for you to consider. While this guide is primarily directed at college teams\, it is applicable to middle and high schools as well.
