How Your Surroundings Can Influence Your Work Style
You’ve probably heard that quote, “your room is a reflection of your mind” almost too often. I’ve taken that into account literally, and I believe it is true.
So…how can your surroundings contribute to how productive you are? Well, it’s pretty simple. If you’re doing your work in a room that is mostly unorganized, then you will be most likely to be unmotivated to do work at all. When seeing something disorganized, it compels you to feel stressed, not wanting to do work as a coping mechanism. This methodology goes the other way; say you were at a cafe or in your bedroom, surrounded by quietness, and pleasant/clean vibes. You wouldn’t be distracted, and the emptiness will only motivate you to get your things done, without nothing in your way.
That’s probably why cafes nowadays are a pretty trendy spot to study and get work done. They’re clean, quiet, and have relaxing vibes. Not only that, they have good food and drinks you can order. Same goes for the library. Everyone is doing their own thing, and once you see people being productive, you will probably want to do the same so it doesn’t ruin the whole vibe.
Next time you have work to do, hopefully you will consider the environment you work in as it will influence how productive you are. Happy studying!
love it!
