LASIK
If you’re tired of wearing contacts and glasses, then opt for LASIK surgery. LASIK is a refractive eye surgery that helps you get 20/20 vision, though it’ll wear off as you get older, and might need glasses when you’re doing activities that require more attention, like reading or driving at night. There are not many complications, but a few side effects like dry eyes or glares, and it’ll typically go away after a few weeks or months, but for some it’s permanent. However, the success of the procedure depends on how your sight is. If it’s extremely difficult to see close or far then it might be less promising. While, if you have mild nearsightedness then it’ll work much better.
There are many different types of surgery to accommodate all the visions. That includes nearsightedness that makes further objects appear blurry. Farsightedness where nearer breves are blurred, but they can see it far. Astigmatism is where your overall view is blurry.
You’ll receive a sedative and numbing drops during the procedure. It’s not just LASIK, there are other laser surgeries like PRK, photorefractive keratectomy, SMILE, small-inclusion lenticular extraction, and intraocular lenses. It’s also not a surgery to consider if you have any eye health concerns like cataracts and glaucoma. It’s not typically included in insurance, so it’s costly. However, if you’re applicable for it then get it!
