Let’s Be Real Coming From A High Schooler
Have you ever seen those high schoolers, who are seemingly balancing a hard courseload, many extracurriculars, and a good social life?
Well let’s be real here. It’s not all that.
Sometimes, even the most well-rounded students have bad days. I would like to emphasize that high school burnout is real, and everybody will have those times where school might take a toll on their lives. It’s just that some people don’t choose to put those parts of their lives out there, which isn’t a bad thing.
It’s also not a bad thing to feel this kind of way at all. From personal experience, I’ve had days where schoolwork might be overwhelming and I can’t get out of bed. However, it’s normal. It’s part of the high school experience—the real one that isn’t fabricated into a romanticized life.
So if you ever feel dejected after seeing all those influencers documenting their fun lives in high school, just know that they might be going through similar situations that aren’t on camera.
